Newfields Gardening is a safe, happy place, purpose-built for gardening and other activities in a relaxed atmosphere.
It's set in around an acre of garden, greenhouses, workshops and activity rooms on the west of Southampton.
Clients can choose from a range of pursuits, from growing plants and using machinery to garden maintenance, art, craft, cookery and more.
They are also encouraged to suggest their own activity ideas.

Christine
Christine supervises our arts and crafts group, works in our greenhouses and sometimes takes the Garden Maintenance Team out to do work in the truck.
Alison
Alison has over 20 years' experience in horticulture, conservation and supporting people to learn new skills. She’s been part of our team for 14 years and helped bring Newfields to life in 2016.
Mwendwa
Mwendwa is part of our Grounds Maintenance Team. He enjoys doing manual work with our clients on other people's gardens. He likes seeing the transformations we make and the happy faces of our clients after a job well done.
Dan
Dan is our full-time Assistant Activities Organiser. He takes pride in enabling the groups to grow their abilities and seeing their delight in their achievements.

With established contracts around Southampton, we offer a cost-effective, friendly, and fully insured service.
We work with social housing organisations, care homes, charities, and private clients, while also providing valuable community work experience for Newfields team members.

Did you know you can buy competitively-priced plants and herbs directly from Newfields?
Our participants often cultivate these from seed. By purchasing our high-quality flowers and vegetable plants at great prices, you’re also supporting our clients' growth and development.
We're open weekdays from 12 noon til 3pm, so do pop by and see what's sprouting!
